Ellie started singing at an early age, appearing in Annie Get Your Gun at the Prince Of Wales Theatre, Les Miserables at the Palace Theatre and in Sam Mendes’ Oliver at the Palladium. Her passion was always to sing and she spent many an evening as a child entertaining commuters on trains whilst travelling home from her latest performance in the West End
She went on to train at Guildford School of Acting, subsequently touring in Scrooge as Bess and then spending two years at sea working for Cruising Musicals Consortium as a featured singer. On her return Ellie toured with Magic of the Musicals with Wayne Sleep and then in Bill Kenwright’s production of Evita, where she was in the ensemble and covered the role of Mistress.
TV appearances include Howard Goodall’s Twentieth Century Greats, as a backing singer for Cliff Richard on Top of the Pops and This Morning and Films’ 3 Mobile commercial.
Ellie has performed as the lead singer in the Mike Baker Swing Band and has also sung at assorted outdoor proms with the National Symphony Orchestra. Her pantomime roles include Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Wendy, Princess Jasmine and Jill.
For the past five years Ellie has been recording the female vocals for all Pantomime productions with One From The Heart/Qudos and can be heard across the country every Christmas.
Ellie has been teaching singing for over six years now and thoroughly enjoys watching her students develop and grow.
Ella Fitzgerald once said “The only thing better than singing, is more singing.” I couldn’t agree more.
