Hounslow Festival of Dance
Congratulations to our students who competed at Hounslow and thank you to our parents for forwarding details of results and pictures so far. The full results are not yet being published on their Festival website.
Of particular note is the 11/12 Tap Solo results. JSTA took a clean sweep in this section with Niome Robson – 1st, Wil Aldridge – 2nd and Leah Bourne – 3rd. Huge Congratulations to all three students and to a very proud Miss Alison for this outstanding result.
Also Congratulations to Phoebe Dunn 2nd, Charlotte Redward 3rd and Abbie Styles and Isabelle Mason-Khan who received honourable mentions in the 9/10 Ballet Solos.
To Sophia Berry & Niamh Ritchie who came joint second in their Ballet Solo Sections.

Taking Gold in their Classical Ballet Duet were Natalie Henry and Calista Manders and another Gold Medal was received by Natalie Henry, Calista Manders, Samantha Osborne and Colette Mitchell for their Intermediate Character Quartet ‘A Day at the Races’. Natalie Henry and Calista Manders also took a Bronze medal for their U14 Character Duet.
Congratulations to Sasha Watson-Lobo who took gold in the 7&8 years Character Solo.
Congratulations to Lucas Henry who received a Silver Medal for his 9&10 Character Solo and Bronze Medal for his 9&10 Ballet Solo
A huge congratulations to Antonio Clemente for his Gold Medal in the Musical Theatre (S&D) Solo 13 & 14 age group. Antonio was also awarded the IDTA (D&E) Musical Theatre Award for the most oustanding solo performance in the D & E Musical theatre Sections at the National Finals. As a result Antonio was invited to perform as part of the AED Finals Gala Performance on Sunday 4th August.
This is an outstanding result for Antonio in a competition of exceptional talent and high standard of performance.
Congratulations go to Angelica Donaldson who received a Bronze medal for her Character Solo (15-18yrs) on Saturday. Angelica was also invited to compete in the Young Ballet Dancer of the Year competition held during Sundays Gala Concert, where she was one of the Runners Up.

All 12 of our Groups received Honours marks and went through to National Finals with 10 First Places, 1 Second Place and 1 Third Place.

Kingston Festival of Dance –ย November 2016
Following three weeks of intense rehearsals and competitions for the
Kingston Festival of Dance, JSTA have come out on top winning the “Jepson Shield for the Dance School with the Most Points”. ย Lucy, Maddie and Sam were on hand to collect the shield, shown in the centre of the
picture, together with the other cups awarded toย JSTA.
The Awards were presented by the Festival’s Adjudicator Janice Fullman.
Congratulations to all of our students, whose outstanding performances throughoutย the whole of the festival contributed to winning the shield. ย Students competed in over 70 sectionsย across the three weekends with many students and Groups adding to their qualifying scores for the Regional Finals in May.
The Festival moved from the usual venue of Esher College to Jubilee High School in Addlestone, and we think you will all agree that the move to the new venue progressed smoothly many thanks to the Festival Organiser, Jane Carter. ย Jane and her team’s organisation of the whole event was excellent, contributing to the friendly and fun atmosphere throughout.

ided a good opportunity with the large hall for us to capture the atmosphere of the backstage preparation for the groups, some of the photos from which we have featured here.
All of the senior groups performed for the first time at Kingston all with qualifying results. The U21 Character group won their section with an Outstanding 90 qualifying mark.
As well as winning the Jepson Shield other recipients of Cups at the Awards presentation were:ย U10 Classical Group,ย U10 Song & Dance Group,ย Natalie Henry & Cali Manders – Ballet Duet,ย Maddie Fairbank – Song & Dance Solo

Hounslow Festival of Dance
October 2016
JSTA students enjoyed a fabulous week of competition at the Hounslow Festival of Dance in the October Half Term. ย Although this was an optional Festival for JSTA students, it was also a qualifying competition for the All England Regional Finals.
Competing in over 90 sections studentsย placing in all the sectionsย enteredย with many students achieving qualifying marks for the Regional Finals in May 2017. ย JSTA students were also accoladed for their performances by taking home many of the Cups & Trophies awarded by the Festival.
To add to the success of this festival the week culminated with JSTA students being invited to perform in the Junior Showcase and the Gala competition on the final day. ย Samantha Osborne, Louise & Alex Pryor ย and Martha Arnold &ย Ruby Allery were invited to perfom in the Junior Showcase withย Olivia Clarke and Angelica Donaldson beingย invited to compete in the Gala Final.
To top off ย the success of the week, Angelica was awarded overall winner in the Gala for her stunning Ballet solo, taking home the Gala Shield and ยฃ75 prize money.

Kingstons Festival, Novemberย 2015

JSTA students enjoyed a fantastically successful Hounslow Festival recently, so congratulations to everybody who competed. Many students performed their newly choreographed dances for the first time. Well done to everybody for all the hard work that went into these wonderful results.
Hounslow Awards
Following an amazing week of competition, which saw JSTA students successful across all age groups and sections, the Festival culminated in a Showcase and Gala concert on the Sunday. Lohen Carey, Lucas Henry and Ellie Etherton were invited to perform in the Showcase performance for younger competitors with Chloe Stidwill and Holly Petters invited to perform in the Festival Gala. For only the second time in its history the Gala was an adjudicated event. Chloe Stidwill was judged the overall winner and presented with The Mills and Simon Gala Award Cup.ย ย Congratulations to Chloe and to Holly, Lohen, Lucas and Ellie.ย Their invitations to perform at the Gala were due to their outstanding results throughout the week.
