Alison Started her dance career with Julie Sianne Theatre Arts aged 8 and continued her training at the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts in Epsom completing the three year Musical Theatre Diploma and gaining her teaching qualifications. She was lucky enough to dance professionally for 12 years after her training before starting her teaching career.
During those 12 years Alison danced professionally touring all over the world. She started in the Caribbean aboard the M.S. Sensation for Carnival cruise lines and then went on to do many cabaret shows, pantomimes, summer seasons and trade shows. At the pinnacle of her time dancing professionally Alison landed a place on the renowned ‘Spirit of the Dance’ show. Here she was chosen to train and perform as the Irish lead dancer and The Spirit as well as being dance captain and company manager at various times. Spirit of the Dance toured the USA headlining in Las Vegas, Reno, Branson, Myrtle Beach, Hawaii and Alaska. She was lucky enough to perform in all but 2 of the states. During her time in Spirit of the dance she also performed in two other productions – ‘Spirit of Broadway’ and ‘Spirit of Christmas’ which toured in the USA, UK, Venezuela, Taiwan and Europe.
During her career she has had the fortune to meet and work with some very famous and amazing people. The highlight of her career though is definitely performing for Patrick Swayze in Reno and then getting to meet him afterwards!
After a successful career touring and performing throughout the world Alison is delighted that her freelance teaching career has allowed her to return to Julie Sianne Theatre Arts teaching Tap, Modern and Jazz to all age groups as well as Baby Ballet.
